Unk Airman & M/Sgt Pine, Willis A. "Bill"
Interesting photo. Has to have been the second negative as Sgt. Pine is turning away from the camera to grab whatever has landed on his shoulder. He would not have turned away from the camera had the photographer not already taken a photo. The Airman is vaguely familiar to me but not someone in my career field (radar).
Sgt. Pine was one of the 482nd whose image and name I never forgot across the years, yet I do not recall ever speaking to the man. The only explanation for that is that we often worked second shift together, passing on the flight line over and over again, while he went to/from the hangar and I to OPs. I paused a long time at his space in Arlington.
