EDWARD BARBER --- 1919-2008


Edward Barber passed away at O'Connor Hospital in San Jose on Wednesday, October 15, 2008.

Ed was born in Alliance, Ohio on January 9, 1919. He was an honored veteran of WWII and retired from the Air Force in 1960. He lived many places over the years but a good part of the time he was in the Lompoc area from the mid 60's to the early 90's where he worked for Martin Marietta for over 20 years. He was widowed from his wife, Elaine, in 2002. Ed last residence was Belmont Village Assisted Living Facility in San Jose where he lived near his son Ron and his family.

He is survived by his children Alex residing in South Carolina, Ron in San Jose, and daughter-in-law Barbara Jean in Lompoc and numerous grand children. A memorial service will be held at the Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura on Friday, October 23, 2008 at 9:00 am where he will be placed with his wife of 55 years.
