Marshall Forsh Blanton, Jr., age 69, was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and had retired from Rayloc Corporation as a plant supervisor, after 28 years of service. After his retirement, Marshall’s hobby and passion was leatherworks for his biker community across the southeast region. He was also a licensed gunsmith.
Marshall's survivors include his son, Marshall F. Blanton, III of Marietta; daughters & son-in-law, Lynn & Shane Commons of Cartersville and Roxann Stoyles of Rockmart; sister, Nina Ridling of Henry County; grandchildren, Chrissy Robbins of Cartersville, Amy Robbins of Hiram, Dusty Blevins of Rockmart and Damon Blevins of Rockmart; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall Forsh Blanton, Sr. and his mother, Rebecca Reynolds.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Mr. Jim Tully officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens in Rome, GA.
Pallbearers will be Mike Freeman, Michael Shane Freeman, Mac Adams, Randy Jerrell, Shawn Tuck and Matt “Bulldog” Minter.
