EDGEWATER - Raymond P. Britain, 63, West Knapp Avenue, a retired cross-country truck driver for Mayflower Moving & Storage Co., St. Louis, Mo., died Friday at home.
Mr. Britain, an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, moved to this area in 1957 from Albany, N.Y., his birthplace. He was a 1961 graduate of New Smyrna Beach High School. Mr. Britain was also a truck driver for Coronado Paint Co., New Smyrna Beach. He was a member of First Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach. He enjoyed travel and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; a son, Karl, Louisville, Ky.; his mother, Bertha, and a brother, William, both of Edgewater; and two grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Dudley, Edgewater, is in charge.
