DENNIS C. BROGAN


Dennis Clark Brogan, 68, of Wellington, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006 at Alterra Sterling House of Wellington. Dennis was born Jan. 21, 1938, the son of the late Otis and Oma (Hoglan) Brogan in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended McKinnley High School in Cedar Rapid before joining the United States Air Force. Dennis proudly served his country for over 30 years as a Master Sergeant working as an Auto Pilot Technician. He was a longtime member of the 184th Tactical Group located at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita. He also worked in quality assurance for Boeing and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving to honor his memory: his wife Betty Brogan of Wellington; two sons, Tim Brogan and wife, Rosie, of Greenville, Texas and Jeff Brogan and wife, Denise, of Bettendorf, Iowa; daughter, Kelly Cook and husband, Shane, of Wichita; two step-sons, Steve Petsel of Iowa and Andrew Petsel of New Hampshire; and a step-daughter, Debra Hoffpauer of Iowa; seven grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Following cremation with the Hawks Funeral Home & Cremation Service, memorial services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at the Hawks Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The Pastor Zane Brooks will officiate.
