MR. CARTER, 27205 County Road 448-A, Mount Dora, died Monday, Jan. 5. He was a chief warrant officer for the Air Force and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Born in Exchange, W.Va., he moved to Central Florida in 1966. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Umatilla.

Survivors: wife, Gladys Marie; sons, Eric R., Lake Jem, Charles T., Tavares; daughters, Elaine Phillians, Jeanne Black, both of Mount Dora, Cynthia C. Scott, Missy Dollins, both of Tavares, Janet Hart, Chiefland;18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
