Donald Melvin Clark, age 81, of Goldsboro, NC, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010, in the comfort of his home.
Donald was born March 24, 1928 in Bath, NY, to the late Melvin and Lottie (Bull) Clark. Mr. Clark proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force, retiring after achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Donald was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed the sport of hunting, fishing and golf.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Stella D. Clark and his three children; Shelley Clark of Fort Worth, TX, Michael Clark of Fort Worth, TX, and Mark and Lynn Clark of Goldsboro, NC. Also surviving is brother, Douglas Clark of Prattsburgh, NY; his best friend and grandson, Markie Clark, as well as five additional grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Donald always held close to his heart the memory of his oldest son who went before him, Stephan Andrew Clark; brother, Richard Clark; and two sisters, Evelyn Alderman and Nancy Dinehart.
Visitation for Donald will be held Friday, January 29, 2010, beginning at 2:00 PM at Bottoni-Wood Funeral Home, 4 Mechanic Street, Prattsburgh, NY. A Service of Remembrance with full military honors will commence promptly at 3:PM.
