HICKORY, Ky. -- James "Big E" or "Pete" Everly, 72, of Hickory died at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Everly was of the Baptist faith and a retired forklift operator for General Tire.
Survivors include four daughters, Charlene McClure of Mayfield, Tammy Rogers of Arlington, Linda Brokenshire of Wingo and Kellye Shook of Hickory; one son, James Everly Jr. of Hickory; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. His parents were William Dailey Everly and Lillian Modena DeWitt Everly.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with the Rev. Ronnie Stinson Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
