Kenneth Aubrey Fraley


Kenneth Aubrey Fraley, age 73, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, Jan 5, 2010, in the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, TN.

He was a member of Edgemont Church of God and was the church clerk for 38 years.

He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mary Fraley.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Nila Clark Fraley; sons Kenneth Rodney Fraley and his wife Anita K. Fraley and Michael Alan Fraley, all of Newport; brothers James L. Fraley of Newport, and Robert H. Fraley and Everette W. Fraley, both of White Pine; grandchildren Kristina Marie Foster and husband Sean of Johnson City; Brittany Leann Fraley and Whitney Leshea Fraley, Rachel Danielle Fraley, and Rebekah Kaylene Fraley, all of Newport; great-grandchild Rylei Pace Foster of Johnson City; also several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan 7, 2010, in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Nations, Rev. Steve Johnson, and Rev. Bill Ball officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Jan 8, 2010, in Union Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
