Macey was born April 20, 1932, in Smithers, West Virginia, and took his Last Flight on September 13, 2008, here in Colorado Springs, CO.
A Celebration of Life service was held Friday, September 20th, at Cappadona Funeral Chapel, 1020 Filmore, Colorado Springs, CO, at 1600 hours. Pastor Jim Franklin officiated and daughter Karen delivered a Life Tribute, Shirley presented, "You Will Always Be In My Heart. Love Forever." Special Military Honors were presented by the USAF. A reception followed at the Giannini residence (3055 Cortina Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80918.)
Macey Giannini had two great loves: Flying for the Air Force and family activities. He was held in great respect by both entities --- the USAF and family. Macey was a long time member of Daedalians and contributed his services regularly to the Flight. He shall be missed.
