Walter Ray Harrill, Jr., 75, of Wilmington, NC passed away suddenly in his home on Saturday, April 23, 2011. He was born October 3, 1935 in Salisbury, NC son of the late Walter Ray and Ruby Harrill.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jill, his daughters, Robin Frost and Lynn Walker and son-in-law Ken Walker, grandchildren; David Frost, Aidan and Abbey Walker and Thomas Julian Eadus. He also leaves behind a beloved sister-in-law Celia Reynolds and many nieces and nephews in the United Kingdom.
Ray retired from the USAF after twenty-six years, serving his country in Korea, Italy and England.
A memorial service will be held 11am Thursday April 28, 2011 at Wrightsville United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wrightsville United Methodist Church, 4 Live Oak Dr., Wrightsville Beach NC 28480.
