Richard A. Kerstetter


Richard A. Kerstetter, 75, of 2603 Pleasant View Road, passed away on Monday morning, Feb. 22, 2010, at the Kramm Healthcare Center, Milton.

A native of Milton, he was born Dec. 19, 1934, the son of the late Robert L. and Catherine Marie (Lunger) Kerstetter. In 1956, he married the former Gladys S. Herman, and his death breaks a marital union of 53 years.

Richard was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Air Force, and he retired after 20 years of service.

He had been employed by W. A. DeHart Inc. for 16 years.

He was a former member of the Watsontown American Legion and the Milton Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and Little League baseball.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Robert and Meg Kerstetter, of Kansas, William and Melani Kerstetter, of Ohio, and Roger and Sheila Kerstetter, of Utah; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Betty Dotts, of New Columbia, and Janette Hughes, of Watsontown.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date with burial in Highland Cemetery.
