"Lemcke had an outstanding collegiate career highlighted by his selection to the All-America soccer team in 1949. As a sophomore, he was named to the All-North squad and the following season he was selected to the All-New York State team. Lemcke served as captain of the 1949 soccer team. He also lettered three years in lacrosse."
