Carl H. Radek, Sr., 72, of Pricedale, passed away on Wednesday, Dec 2, 2009, in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born at Pricedale on Feb 17, 1937, a son of the late Charles and Margaret Corbett Radek. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Elverda Shetterly Radek in 1994. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Navy, a member the American Legion, and attended Christ Lutheran Church. He had retired in 1998 after 21 years as a bus driver in the Yough School District. He resided in West Newton until returning to Pricedale in 1995.
Mr. Radek is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sandy Radek, a daughter and son-in-law, Carla and George Sampuda of Atoka, TN; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl H. and Robin Radek of Port Royal, PA, and Steven and Rosella Radek of Huntingdon, PA; two brothers, Marvin Radek and Harry Radek, both of Pricedale; five grandchildren and four ggrandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec 5, 2009 in Christ Lutheran Church, West Newton, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Allen Riethmiller officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
