JAMES R. RADFORD


PIKEVILLE --- Funeral services for James R. Radford, 73, of 3748 Nahunta Road, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Coley Funeral Home Chapel in Kenly. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Radford-Herring Cemetery.

Mr. Radford died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He served with the U.S. Air Force, locally with the 482nd Fighter Squadron. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Barnes Radford; three daughters, Judy Smith of Durham, Debbie Dennison of Wilmington, and Trecia Davis of Kinston; a son, Edgar Radford of Gardner; a sister, Martha Jane Jenkins of Roanoke Rapids; a brother, William Aaron Radford of Pikeville; and six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Coley Funeral Home in Kenley.
