Glenn Walter Spillman, 79, of Washington Court House, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at his residence. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972 after 21 years of service. He later retired from the Miami Trace School District. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Church of Greenfield.
Born June 25, 1929 in Anaheim, Calif., he was the son of Walter Clarence Spillman and Orpha Louise (Oliver) Spillman.
On Feb. 20, 1954 he married Virginia (Perrin) Spillman, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Piper (Larry) Davison of Washington C.H.; one son, Gregory (Kathryn) Spillman of Sedona, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, Jess (Lisa) Davison of Washington C.H., Jonathan (Jody) Davison of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Glenn Davison of Washington C.H., Ryan Davison of Washington C.H., Chris Spillman of Mississippi, Daniel (Teri) Spillman of Duluth, Ga., Joseph Spillman of Dallas, Texas and Audra Spillman of Sedona, Ariz.; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Faith Wilcox of Washington C.H. and Vivian (Claude) Wisecup of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Roberta Neyland; one nephew, Monte Chambers; and both parents.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield, with a veterans appreciation service to be held at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Church, 12920 S.R. 28, Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3 at the Good Shepherd Church of Greenfield with Pastor Jim Blaine and the Rev. Robert K. Blaine officiating. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery, where military honors will be presented by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
