M/Sgt Jesse Thomas Spivey, USAF (ret.), passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011.
He was born in Merry Hill, NC on October 15, 1935. He served 21 years in the US Air Force and was a veteran of four tours of duty in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service in 1967.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Doreen Spivey.
He is survived by his family: Laura Kearney, Darryl Kearney, Trevor Pierce and Emily Keller; along with seven grandchildren.
A family gathering will be held at his home on Tuesday, January 18, 2011.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
