George S. Fletcher, 72, of 10445 Juan Calle, Clive, died of a heart attack Monday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

Mr. Fletcher was born in Des Moines and moved to Clive in 1975. He was a self-employed commercial photographer, an employee of Amoco Credit Card Center and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the New Orleans Jazz Club and hosted a jazz program for 13 years on WHO Radio and for the past two years on KRNT Radio. He was also involved in a traveling art show sponsored by the Iowa Arts Council.

Surviving are his wife, Darleen; a daughter, Pamela Rossi of West Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Dana Axelsen of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Kirk, of West Des Moines; two stepsons, Jeff Goreham of West Des Moines and Jon Goreham of Arlington heights, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at McLaren's Funeral Chapel, where a vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
