Frank C. Pierson was the owner of the Goldenrod Showboat (and occasional manager) for several years. The National Traditional Jazz and Ragtime Festival was held onboard annually each June and the Ragtimers were always the host band. The place was mobbed. Frank had a fine voice and loved to join Al in a duet when the Ragtimers played "Red Rose Rag." This always brought the house down. Frank is now deceased but he was a vital and important player in those days and times and is missed by everyone who knew and loved him. GCW
