I've lost track of Al since the St. Louis Rag Festival days. The last I knew of him was that he was holding down the piano chair for the Natural Gas Jazz Band circa mid 1980s...making 3 LPs with them. I think he's still in California.
[Al's sister, Libby, brought us up to date. "He lives in California, but no longer plays in bands, due to getting married in 1983 and having a child a few years later. He still plays the piano at home and for friends wherever a piano is available, always delighting the audience."]
