The classically trained players seldom are interested in Folk ragtime, almost always preferring Joplin's studied approach or the advanced forms of Ragtime. I like Masanobu, he's fun to be around, very serious about the music but enthusiastic and upbeat. He plays well but had a problem early on by trying to do too much too soon. Those days are past.
